Happy Birthday Will
I cannot believe that our baby boy is one year old. My how this year has flown.
He is such an amazing child. Very laid back and calm. He is such a blessing to this family. We all adore him. His favorite person is still his big brother. Grady can make him laugh like no one else.
His birthday was Friday, so we started the day with pancakes. Will's favorite. Grady and I sang to him in his highchair. He clapped after it was over. After his nap, we went and kidnapped Daddy for lunch. He was very surprised when he saw that the carseat was facing forward and thought that was pretty cool. This was a birthday tradition I started with Grady.
We did the Sonic drive thru for lunch, since Daddy didn't have much time. That was where the second birthday tradition was up-held. Will got his first taste of choclate milk. He wasn't to sure at first, but he is already now an addict.
The next day, Wade's parents drove in and helped us decorate our Christmas tree. We got the house all ready for the party the next day. After the Christmas play at church, our family all came over to eat chili and birthday cake with a little hot choclate. The cake was decorated by the adorable Erin Whitley; kudos. Will loved his party, and really enjoyed sinking his toes into that cake.
After the party, Will gave us a gift. He took a two and a half hour nap. Grady, Daddy, and I all slept too. It was amazing. What a way to finish off a year.
Oh the picture of D. O. was taken by Grady after church Sunday. It was too funny, not to include.
Thank you Lord for the blessing of little Will. Thank you for the hope that he gave us and for the love that he has brought our family. We praise you for continuing to grow our family and showing us the wonder of little boys. We pray for Will that he will bond as closely to Grayson as he has with Grady, and that you will continue to pursuit his heart in the years to come.
